Former Fashion Designer takes advantage of lock down to launch eco-gifting brand
A Cheshire based fashion designer who lost her job as a result of the Novel Corona virus pandemic has taken advantage of the lockdown to bring a decades old ambition to fruition and launched a brand-new eco-gifting business, My WIsh Tree, whilst stuck at home.
Single mother, Sarah Stanley, 47 from the Wirral, has juggled home schooling and childcare with her new project and moved on from churning out styles that have featured on Dua Lipa, Holly Willoughby, Katherine Jenkins, Suzannah Reid and Binky Felstead, turning her creativity to building the tree gifting brand.
My Wish Tree is an online tree gifting company offering tree gifts (and other products) that are accessible to everyone’s pocket, stocking a range of 25 trees ranging from the most traditional Oak to the more exotic species such as the Japanese Umbrella Pine.
Acutely aware of the environmentally conscious consumer packaging can be recycled and for every tree sold My Wish Tree donates £1 to a reforestation project across the globe.
Said Stanley –
“I wanted to create a brand that gave back to the planet - we can all be conscious consumers but how much do we actually give back? I wanted a sustainable gift that would encourage people to invest in their environment whether that be to send a friend a tree to celebrate a birth or celebrate a life lost”
